Put Yourself in the Way - The United Way!
The mission of United Way of Comal County (UWCC) is to assess on a continuing basis the need for human service programs in the community, and to assist in the development of new or the expansion or modification of existing human service programs. The United Way then develops and deploys the United Way financial resources and muster community support and commitment to the agencies delivering these human service programs. In support of this mission, UWCC seeks to help increase the organized capacity of people to care for one another.
Thanks to all our supporters during the 2009 Campaign year. United Way of Comal County continues to achieve much success with the help of our donors and many dedicated people working every day to make a difference in people's lives. Our purpose is many fold, we work to assess on a continuing basis the need for human service programs, work to develop financial resources, and deploy financial support. Within that scope, we achieve to muster community support and manage United Way resources as effectively as possible in a cost efficient manner.
As a result of a successful campaign in 2009, the United Way of Comal County raised over $800,000. These monies allowed us to allocate more than ever. Over $575,000 was allocated to 25 various agencies throughout the county. None of this would be possible without your support. We need your help to do even more in 2010. Please continue to give. Put yourself in the way and give where you live. For campaigns outside of Comal County, please designate your gift to come home. See the How To Give page for giving options.
Sincerely,
Terry Robinson
